A Hornet in the Desert.

Hornets are a type of monster created by XANA. They act as the air force of Lyoko, and mainly serve to protect Towers from Team Lyoko. Hornets live in the Desert, Ice Barrier, Mountain Sector and the Forest Sector, and often attack in squadrons.
Hornets have various different weapons. Every Hornet is equipped with a laser on its stinger, but after season 1 it doesn't have rapid-fire cabailities. Hornets also have acid sprayers on their "mouths" as well. This poison drains life points from Team Lyoko's members.
